Laura is a Researcher Poultry Nutrition at Schothorst Feed Researcher (SFR) and a lecturer in Precision Nutrition and Sustainable Poultry Farming at Aeres University of Applied Sciences in Dronten, Netherlands. She holds both a bachelor’s and doctorate in Animal Science from Wageningen University in the Netherlands. After completing her doctorate, she pursued a Doctorate in Animal Science in the same university. After completing her doctorate, she joined Schothorst Feed Research, where she has worked for 16 years, specializing in poultry nutrition with a focus on laying hens. Seven years ago, Laura expanded her professional role by becoming a professor at Aeres University of Applied Sciences, teaching "Sustainable Poultry Farming in a Circular Business." Additionally, she joined the Poultry Expertise Centre in the Netherlands as a member of the team appointed at Aeres University of Applied Sciences.
Ellen earned her degree in Animal Sciences from Wageningen University in the Netherlands, specializing in Animal Health and Reproduction. She then pursued a PhD in the Adaptation Physiology group at Wageningen University, where she investigated the relationship between energy metabolism and immunology in young pullets. Following her PhD, Ellen worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Veterinary Faculty of Utrecht University. Since December 2009, Ellen has been a researcher in poultry nutrition at Schothorst Feed Research, with a special focus on the relationship between nutrition and intestinal health.
Roger has degrees in veterinary medicine, animal science master and animal nutrition PhD at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (Spain). During his doctorate, Roger did three 6-month long internships in UC Davis (California), Freie Universitat Berlin (Germany) and Novus International (MO, USA). Roger completed a postdoctoral fellowship for three years in Missouri (USA) at the University of Missouri and Novus International. In June 2017, Roger moved back to Europe and joined SFR as a monogastric nutrition researcher. Since 2019, Roger has expanded his role to include consultancy, providing expertise in poultry nutrition to companies in the Netherlands, across Europe, and in Asia.
